Malayalam movie Bodyguard by eminent filmmaker Siddique with Dileep and Nayantara in the lead is all set for a grand release on December 4 in as many as a 100 screens across Kerala. The movie has been through a string of changes in its release dates. The makers who had planned it for Ramzan and then later for Christmas have now advanced the dates by two weeks.
Many reasons have been cited for these changes. Dileep’s movies have been suffering a bad fate at the box office and therefore the makers did not want to compete with Mohanlal’s Ivide Swargam Aanu, Mammootty’s Chattambinadu and other regional and Bollywood movies during Christmas time. Releasing on December 4th will help the cast and crew to enjoy the benefits of being a solo release.
The trade pundits have formed a good opinion about the movie as Bodyguard has been directed by none other than Siddique, the master director who has the special Midas touch. So too the music has been scored by Ouseppachan. To top it all Dileep has been paired opposite the sensuous Nayantara and this would be something to look out for.
