Shaji Kailas leads Sureshgopi for Kerala Cafe

Kerala Cafe is a novel concept in filmmaking in Malayalam movies. It comprises of a package of ten short movies which are being directed by 10 film makers. Shyamaprasad, Shaji Kailas, Lal Jose, B Unnikrishnan, Revathy, Padmakumar, Uday Ananthan, Anjali Menon and debutante Shankar Ramakrishnan are the filmmakers who have joined the Capitol Theatre venture. Director Renjith is leading the Capitol Theatre for the shooting of Kerala Cafe.

Director Shaji Kailas has started his part of the movie which is to be titled as 'Lalitham, Hiranmayam' with Sureshgopi in the lead role and accompanied by Jyothirmayi and Dhanya Mary Varghese in other key roles. Once this is completed Shankar Ramakrishnan, Padmakumar and Lal Jose will kick start the shooting of their short movies. While Mammootty plays the lead role in the movie by Lal Jose, Prithviraj will be the hero in Padmakumar's movie.

Nadiya Moidu with Mammootty in Doubles

Nadiya Moidu is back in Malayalam and that too with a bang. Though she had made her presence felt earlier as well, but this time she will be seen with none other than superstar Mammootty. The pair has given many hit movies like Shyama, Poovinu Puthiya Poonthennal and so on in the past.

In the forthcoming Malayalam movie Doubles by debutant director Sohan Sinulal, Nadiya will be seen in the role of a twin sister to the character essayed by Mammootty. This is something which the Malayalee audiences havwe been eagerly looking forward to for years. The movie which also has Salimkumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Biju Kuttan and others has its script by the hit team Sachi ad Sethu of Chocolate fame. Nadiya has acted in some Tamil movies also after her comeback to the silverscreen post her marriage.

Harihar Nagar team is back a third time!

The Harihar Nagar boys are back again ready for another comic caper. After the tremendous success of In Harihar Nagar and To Harihar Nagar, the band of boys are back for their third comic adventure. The first part and the second part have kept the box office counters ringing and all are eagerly awaiting the third part.

18 years ago Siddique-Lal team had come up with In Harihar Nagar with Mukesh, Jagadeesh, Siddique and Ashokan. In 2009 they came back with To Harihar Nagar. Lal who had turned independent director with To Harihar Nagar is directing the third part also which has been titled as In Ghosthouse Inn.

In the second part the four men were seen with their wives. Lena, Rakhi, Rohini and Reena Basheer who were seen in those roles, will be there in the third part as well. The four men come to Ooty to spend their holidays with their families and stay at a haunted house. The story then takes on from there and the problems they encounter during their stay there. Of course there would be a beautiful lady to steal their hearts in the third part as well. A South Indian actress is expected to play this role.

In Ghosthouse Inn will start shooting in October and will be jointly produced by Lal Creations and PN V Associates. So sit tight, the trouble pokers are back to make you laugh your hearts out.

Daddycool-A cool hit

Megastar Mammootty's "Daddycool" released on,Friday (Aug7) has taken an extraordinary opening all over Kerala! At one of the biggest screens in Kerala, Aatingal Ganga (seating capacity 1970), first show were 'Houseful' !Housefull shows giving it a 100 percent opening, for the weekend. In rest of Kerala too, the film has taken a bumper opening. Says a Thiruvananthapuram based trade analyst: “ Daddycool is a Racy entertainer and is attracting the youth as well as family audiences, with its great touchable and action scenes.

The film has been made like a mass Hollywood style entertainer by director Aashiq Abu.

The movie starts with Mammootty’s son’s birthday party along with the song "Daddy Cool". Mammootty is introduced in a very stylish way which all his fans would love. Then it is just a stitching together off many insignificant sequences that takes the movie forward.

The movie is a father-son story along with a police story in the background. Mammootty plays the role of Antony Simon, the CI of crime branch with Sai kumar, Vijaya Raghavan, Biju Menon, Babu Raj as his colleagues.The police story continues with Mammootty’s unsuccessful attempt in capturing Bheeb Bhai, played by Ashish Vidyarthi. This causes him to get a suspension. The movie has Richa Pallod in the lead role of Annie. Her acting as well as dubbing was below average. But Mammootty’s son Aadhi (Dhananjay) did a good job. Mammootty gets his job back by helping cricketer Sreekanth( Govind Padmasoorya) to be saved from a few villains.

In the second half a simple twist occours and a climax which is the best part of the movie.The direction by Aashiq Abu and cinematography by Sameer Thahir was excellent. Daddy Cool movie is fun filled and second half of story twists into family story into thriller. Daddy Cool script was good and shows father and son releationship and understanding. Mammooty has fit and acted as a good father in daddy cool movie character.

Daddy Cool is a fully time entertainer movie.
